Bernster,

Are you refering to those headset thingies that they give you in the
museums? Can you give more names for these sort of devices?

Claudietta,

You are spot on, I do mean the headset audio equipment used at
museums. They are generally called "Self-guide audio equipment".
They are usually handheld and placed against your ear.

Thanks for your interest

Dear Bernster,

I looked into this, and the closest market that I ran into was called
"content networking equipment" which referenced museums. The article
says that content networking includes caching, Secure Sockets Layer
acceleration, and Layer 4/7 switching.

I am uncertain if this is what you are looking for. If so let me know,
and I wil continue along these lines.
