Hi! Thanks for accepting my proposal for an answer. You can call the Mayor's Community Assitance Unit by dialing 311 to volunteer for cleanup progams in your neighborhood. This organization also cooordinates with the NYPD Anti-Graffiti Initiative. CAU http://www.nyc.gov/html/cau/html/anti_graffiti/phone_numbers.shtml The nationwide organization, Keep America Beautiful, also has a graffiti cleanup program called Graffiti Hurts but it doesn't have information on how to volunteer. Maybe you can call them and ask some information on how to help. Keep America Beautiful http://www.kab.org/programs.asp?id=49&rid=74 Graffiti Hurts http://www.graffitihurts.org/ Search terms used: volunteers graffiti removal cleanup program manhatttan nyc nypd I hope these links would help you in your research. Before rating this answer, please ask for a clarification if you have a question or if you would need further information. Regards, Easterangel-ga Google Answers Researcher |
