Am getting used to using OE in winxp (used to use outlook2000 in
win98se) and when I send links to others it comes back with a message
to say it cut off link because it may include harmful stuff - yet that
link in quite fine because it is from ATO website. There must be a

Does this entry in a forum help:

"This is one of the changes that you'll find in XP. Instead of
inserting the link address into the message as it did in 98 the link
is now added as an attachment.

If you want to add the link to your message, open a mail message,
place your cursor where you want the link to appear, click on
Insert|Hyperlink and then you can either type in the address or do a
cut and paste."
