I am putting together a business plan and i need more information on
my target market. The service I'm marketing is a rehearsal place for
bands in the Orange County/ LA County, California area. I need to know
that there is a market for my product. My question is: approximately
how many bands are there in all of California and how are they
distributed by county?

Yes and thank you..this is definitely a start and more information
then i've been able to find myself. I'm not sure if this website is a
credible source to put in a business plan though; Any historical data
that would possibly show trends (EX: the growth of the number of bands
in orange county over the the last three years)or any studies
specifically conducted to estimate the number of bands rather then a
website where bands can just sign up (because this may not capture the
entire market) would be extremely helpful  Thanks Again.

I'm now trying a new search for "the number of independent musicians
in California"...hoping this may reveal more concrete evidence that a
market exists.
