Thank you eainbow-ga for your comments. I have the Guide to Evaluating Slaughter Cattle. I hadn't seen the USHSLA Standards document, which is interesting and relevent. I am looking for the area of a standard hide, or preferably some way of approximating the area of the resulting hide from the live weight of an animal at slaughter. |
