Dear almo7091-ga:

Before even going in detail to where you may access all of the stock
market data in Excel format, I will provide you the links to download
the SP 500, NASDAQ -100 and DOW 30 stocks to Excel.

Following are the links:

S&P500 ?By components?
http://www2.standardandpoors.com/spf/xls/index/500_20060106_C.xls
S&P500?By industry sectors?
http://www2.standardandpoors.com/spf/xls/index/sp500.xls

NASDAQ-100
http://www.nasdaq.com/asp/index_component.asp?symbol=IXNDX
NASDAQ (Entire Market)
http://www.nasdaqtrader.com/dynamic/SymDir/mrktsym.txt (Text Format)

DOW

Apart from the above list, the best place to gather data for any
market is by going to the Yahoo Finance and than downloading the
required info in an Excel format. The only drawback is that you might
have to download data multiple times because Yahoo only generates
excel data for first 50 symbols and so on. A huge advantage is that
you can get the latest data in Excel format for a huge variety of
markets. The place to start is:

http://finance.yahoo.com/indices?e=dow_jones

Above is the link to US Indices. You will find a list of all the
Active Indices in this page including Dow, NSYE, AMEX etc (Click on
different tabs). Under each Market, Yahoo provides you a list of
Indices in that market (Bio-100, US 100, World leaders, Industrials
etc). In order to pull the data in Excel format, click on the right
hand side of each where it says ?components?. You will see the first
50 components at once. At the end of the page, click on ?Download to
spreadsheet?. This action will allow you to download the first 50. You
can repeat the process again by clicking on ?Next? to get the next 50
symbols and so on...

markets.

Leader-ga.
