According to the Archambault report professors spend 18% of their time
on administrative duties.
According to Denis Bertrand, professors spend 15% of their time on
management activities.

Germany
Junior professors at Göttingen expend up to 8 hours a week on
administrative tasks, depending on the faculty.

Scotland
For lecturers the mean is 32.5% and for senior lecturers 39.3%.
Six universities in Scotland were studied - Abertay, Glasgow
Caledonian, Napier, Paisley, Robert Gordon, and Queen Margaret
University College.

UK
Between May and June 2003 the Economics Centre of the Learning and
Teaching Support Network (Economics LTSN) conducted a National online
Survey of Economics Lecturers. There were 125 respondents from 63 HE
institutions who completed the survey, representing slightly more than
10% of all economics lecturers in UK HE.
They were found to spend 26.80% of their time on administration.
