This question is about INDIAN INTERNET usage. I would like to know the 5
the most popular (by number of unique visitors) websites in the
following categories in the context of the Indian internet user. The
websites have to cater mainly to Indians...for example in BOOKS
although AMAZON would probably be the most popular but I am only interested
in  local Indian site that sell books online.

The categories are as follows:

1.BOOKS

2.ELECTRONIC GADGETS (cameras,hanycams,mobile phones)

3.ACCESORIES AND APPARELS (sarees, shirts, t-shirts, earings, costume jewelery)

4.COMPUTERS AND PERIPHERALS 

5.MUSIC AND MOVIE CD,VCD&DVD

6.GIFTS (flowers, chocolates, indian sweets/mithai, watches and pen sets)

7.GAMES (sites where indians go to play online games for fun)

Your question is about to expire without having been answered and you
might be disappointed.

One possible reason why it hasn't been answered is that you ask
multiple questions on one post. The way Google Answers work means,
that only one Researcher can answer, and only one answer can be given.
When you post multiple questions, if a Researcher has answers to all
but one, they would still not be able to answer it - because they
don't have all of the information you've requested!
