My boss says pay raises due to tenure is illegal due to some fair pay
for equal work act brought on by the wemons lib movement, or something
like that. He mentions that the only way to give a pay riase is to
give everyone in that particular position in the company an equal
raise at the same time or to promote the individual to a role that has
more responsibilities. Is he telling the truth or just spouting out
bullshit as to not pay?

To put this into context.. I remember, at previous jobs, having
bi-anually reviews. If the review was above satisfactory you would
get a raise. The longer you worked there, the higher your pay even
though you had the same job title and responibilities as someone who
started work yesterday, making the base pay.

He is absolutely bullshitting. His statement implies women do not get tenure.

What country do you live in? If you live in the US, your boss is liar
or an idiot or both.
