I'd like some proof of ultra-deep (40,000ft +-) oil wells in Russia and Viet
Nam. There are claims that Russia has 300+ wells and they helped Viet
Nam drill 20. Thomas Gold had the Deep Biosphere Theory and these
wells would validate it. Joe Vialls wrote extensively on them before
his death.

Do you know anyone from Russia or Viet Nam who has worked on or even
seen these wells? ARE THE REAL!!!

Thank you,
Carl

Here is something from a reputable source:
http://walrus.wr.usgs.gov/infobank/programs/html/school/moviepage/03.01.01.html

15 km is about 50,000 feet.

Here is a less ambitious project that claims it will be the deepest well in Asia:
http://www.gasandoil.com/goc/news/nts52104.htm

Another website mentioned the same well. 8,400 meters is only about 28,000 ft.

The way the Russian well is described, it sounds like it is a first attempt.
That makes it sound unlikely that Russia already has any - let alone
300 - similarly deep wells.

One would have to ask, Are Russia & Viet Nam in the process of
constructing new infrastructure (refinereies) to accommodate the
practically endless petroleum wealth implied by Gold's theory? If they
aren't, then they haven't verified the existence of the "petrosphere".

Read this site carefully and click on the links for confimation of the details:

I feel sure that we would know if even deeeper wells have been
drilled, but this seems very unlikely from the information given,
especially the problems of heat on the drill bit. The existence of
300 such "working" wells in Russia and 20 in Vietnam would be a
difficult secret to keep.

Someone who is more clever at searching might find information on oil
explaration with opinions about the feasability of finding oil or gas
at that depth, and also about whether seismic or other exploration
techniques are effective to that depth, maybe also about the financial
feasability of such a well, even if striking oil was pretty certain.

This was also part of a hoax story in the eighties, I believe, where
Russians drilled an ultra-deep hole in Siberia and discovered the
underworld, where all sorts of doomed souls started to escape into the
stratosphere, inclduding Napoleon.

www.snoopes.com has run an article on this mythos somewhere on their
page, tracing its origins.
