Aproximately 8 million patients are use oxygen in their home in the
US. Medicare pays for the most of this equipment. The SADMERC is the
government office that is in charge of tracking the statistics of
these people.

Each time a new Medicare patient is prescribed oxygen, their physician
must fill out and sign a CMN (Certificate of Medical Neccessity).
These forms are electronically filed with Medicare before payment is
made. Also, Medicare contracts with 4 companies who pay their bills
(called DMERC's - Durable Medical Equipment Regional Carriers).

Considering the above info... here is my question...

I want to be able to accurately calculate market share. So, I would
like to be able to know if the following data is available, where i
can find it, a what the data is.

Preferably, I am hoping to find that the data is available broken down
into particular zip codes, or something similar. (ex: In Jan 06, 500
oxygen patients in zip 90210).

Upon reading my posting, it may have not been entirely clear.

I want to know where i can find statistics that will tell me in any
given zip code, how many new oxygen patients were added in a given
time period.
