I am interested in purchasing a Murphy type bed (pull down from the wall bed), for my den. However, I wonder about the comfort of the bed, as it will not have a box spring. The mattress will set direct on a wood frame. And, I have never slept on a bed without a box spring. Obviously I wonder about the comfort of this type of bed. Question: Any experience or suggestions about this type of bed? |

Greetings! My aunt purchased this type of bed and I find it to be very comfortable. The bed does not have traditional box springs, but the foundation was included with the purchase of the frame. You can choose to use your own mattress or purchase one from the company. My aunt purchased a really nice mattress from her local furniture store and it is like sleeping on a cloud. :) I am listing the information about company from which she made her purchase. I will also list the link to their contact information so they can help you with any questions you may have about this type of sleep system. Good luck and sweet dreams! I have a Murphy bed in my family room. It is the best bed in the house. It does have a box spring as well as a fine mattress. Look in youre phone book under "wall units" |
