Industry outlook ? I need information on the college sector of the
online merchandise trading industry. If the college sector specific
information is too hard to come by, numbers on the entire industry
will be acceptable. College specific examples include: Chegg.com and
Uflipit.com (I have been unable to pinpoint other college-focused
trading sites, please note if more are found). General public
merchandise trading sites include: Ebay.com (DUH!), TraderZoo.com, and
UncleHenrys.com. I need statistics like the industry?s gross worth,
market shares of industry that top companies hold (specifically
college-focused sites, and specify whether it is % of entire industry,
or % of college-specific industry), average selling price of related
merchandise (college-focused trading sites if possible, if not then
entire trading industry?s average item selling price), average $
amount spent on merchandise swapping sites per college student,
percentage of college students nationwide who utilize online
merchandise trading sites, buying patterns of college specific trading
sites (I have a hunch that there will be influxes at the beginnings
and ends of semesters when students are moving in and out and needing
to get rid of/get stuff). Any other interesting industry-specific
statistics that you may come across are more than welcomed. |
