First, the proper subject for your question would be something like
'Faster weight loss with a diet pill'. This helps those who might know
something about that to know to answer you question.

Second, That could depend on how the diet pill that you're talking
about works. Some work by attempting to block fat/sugar/whatever from
being absorbed into your system. These do nothing if you aren't eating
anything. Others can increase the rate that you burn fat. These could
work without eating but probably not if you plan to starve your self.

Crash dieting never works. If you stop eating your body slows down the
rate at which you burn fat. There is nothing you can do about this,
it's a survival mechanism to extend your life until you can get some
food.

How to lose weight: eat an senseable, balanced diet, get some exercise.

Not only will you most likely not lose weight faster, due to your body
going into "starvation mode", you will almost certainly cause more
health problems. Many fad diet pills contain ingredients such as
excessive amounts of caffiene that can cause high blood pressure,
headaches, nervousness, irritability, and a myriad of other ailments
that will make it much more difficult to lose weight. It's very
depressing to be overweight, and the temptation to look for a "quick
fix" is strong, and has been exploited by pill and supplement makers
for some time. Anotherbrian is correct when he says that a sensible
balanced diet and excercise is the solution. My advice? Lose the
pills. Some supplements can be very helpful, and a nutritionist can
help you with that, but "diet pills" often cause more problems than
they solve. Beware of pills containing caffiene, or anything that
promises to "boost your metabolism" or give you more energy. Cut your
meal portions, plan your meal to be 2/3 vegetables and 1/3 protein,
take a walk outside for 30 minutes daily, and enjoy losing weight the
way your body is accustomed to. Why torture yourself by starving daily
when you can enjoy eating a little smarter? Good luck.
