Can you find out whether best selling author Dr. Leo Buscaglia was
ever married? Was he gay? Died in 1998. Thanx.

I can find no indication that he ever married, nor that he
was gay. Someone asked the same question on his website's
forum (after his death). Here's the page with the question
about his orientation (at the bottom), followed by a post
from someone who worked with him at book signings, who 
noted how very much Leo valued his privacy, and said:

"He said there were two ways to serve humanity; one is to devote
 yourself to raising your family and taking care of them, the other
 is to devote yourself to humanity in general. He chose the latter
 course."

Another post I located mentions that Leo once told a story
about a girl he fell in love with as a boy, and how he had
wanted to marry her. I remember hearing the same story, so
I know it's true, but what significance can be gleaned from
something that occurred to him as a boy, I can't really say.
