Dear puzzle,

All I found is a phrase in Norwegian, "store Kristi", meaning "great
Christ". But there is no proof so far that this is used as
congratulations for birthdays.

Regards,
Scriptor

"store Kristi"/"store Christi" is certainly not a birthday greeting in
Norwegian, but it could be used as an antiquated exclamation ("om my
god!").

I remember this phrase being used in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, and
goofily mispronounced by the non-Greek fiance. However, I can't find
any confirmation that the phrase (though I don't know exactly how it
would be spelled in Greek) means anything in Greek.

I, too, found `Happy Birthday` in 161 languages but as you say it
doesn`t tell me the right one. Please, keep trying.

The TextCat language guesser (
http://odur.let.rug.nl/~vannoord/TextCat/Demo/textcat.html ) suggests
that "store Christi" might be Slovak and "store kristi" might be
Croatian. I haven't been able to confirm either of these.
