Hi, Your problem is esstially a CSP (Constraints Satisfaction Problem). I know something about it. And your problem is of small scale, and should not be difficult to solve. However, I know little about the Aerobics, so if you can help clarify your problem, I might be able to give you a satisfied solution. First, you don't want to reapeat any of the four patterns, i.e. u, a, l, and f, for two successive days. Here, please let's know for how many days you require or prefer to have a f (off) day. Second, please tell me what is the minimal number of days you want to work out for each of those acitivities during the 2-wk period. If you can clarify the above two points, I will try go for a good cyclic schedule for you! (or to tell you it is impossible to get such a schedule.) |

Hi. Thanks for taking the time to respond. I will try to answer your questions. 1) This is a schedule for doing different workouts throughout the week. The pattern is to have one free day / week (in this example on Sunday) and to alternate between weight lifting and aerobic workouts the other six days of the week. The problem ends up being that you alternate also the weight lifting workouts between upper body and lower body. So, combined with the free day, it makes every other week different (Monday and Friday for doing an upper body workout one week, and Wednesday the next) 2) There should be 3 upper and lower body workouts each every two weeks and 6 aerobic workouts. The free day should happen 1/week on the same day each week. I hope that answer's your questions. Let me know if I can give you any more info. Thanks! |
