What is the cost and the cost structure to produce vaccines in
general, and more specifically, to produce a typical influenza vaccine? I am
not referring to the price (retail or wholesale), but rather to the
production cost itself. By cost structure I mean the breakdown of production
cost, distribution costs, R&D costs (if included), marketing costs,
earnings (margin). Additional vaccines costs of new vaccines such as
Avian Flu and Rota Virus would be much appreciated. The best reference
I've found is slides 16-17 on the following link:
www.deanco.com/docs/Experience.pdf. If you have price estimates too
(wholesale) it would also be appreciated. Thanks.

I would like to limit the question to:
"what is the cost to manufacture one unit of influenza vaccine?"
