We recently purchased a loft bed for our seven year old daughter from
Bombay Kids. Here is a link so you can see it:

In case that doesn't work, go to www.bombaykids.com and look under the
furniture section for the Travis loft bed.
Last night she fell out of the bed. We are not sure how it happened.
It was as she was going to sleep, so not apparently the result of any
roughousing. She seems to be okay, thank goodness, though she is
going to the doctor to have her foot examined.
So to my question. How can I make this bed basically fall proof
without completely destroying the aesthetics of the room? She has a
sort of animal or jungle theme, so it occurred to me to either use
some sort of cargo netting, or mosquito netting, but I am not sure how
I would mount it. I could figure it out, so I am looking for an
answer more than something like "use molly bolts." Basically I am
looking for a complete solution so as to save my time in figuring it
out. FWIW, the bed is in a corner and so has walls on two sides.
Until I fix this she is in our bed, so time is of the essence. I am
pricing this at $12, but will pay $20 for a good answer received by
3pm US central time today (April 20, 2006). |
