industries are you interested in? What functional areas do you have
experience, i.e., maketing, engineering, operations, etc.? What are
your qualifications -- experience and education?

Headhunters are usually retained search firms that are paid by the
employer to find highly qualified candidates. They rarely work with
self-nominated candidates or candidates who are unemployed. What is
your status?

Employment agencies sometimes call themselves headhunters or executive
recruiters. Who have you worked with in the past?

The more you can tell us about your situation, the more likely we will

I am currently employed and on international assignment in China.  I
finish my assignment in Mid-June.  My background is
automotive-Franchising/Accounting. I want to move back to the Atlanta
area.  How do I find the top placement agencies in Atlanta that place
people in executive management positions.

I have been out of the job search market for quite a while and I am
looking to make a move.  Please let me know if this is enough
clarification.

True "headhunters", (not employment agencies), rarely restrict
themselves to a single city.  They are usually categorized by their
field of specialty, ie: sales, executive officers, legal etc.

Perhaps a clarification is in order.  If you are looking to work with
a headhunter, specify what kind of jobs they would specialize in.   If
you are looking for people that do headhunter work in Atlanta in
general, then specify what you consider top 10.  (# placements,
turnaround time, $ volume)
