Hiya,

I am currently developing a web application in asp.net using C#. Part
of this project requires a network diagram to be drawn, and for this I
am currently using this third-part control:
http://www.mindfusion.org/flowchart-net.html

The control is hosted in Internet Explorer using the <object> tag.

However, this solution is not cross-platform, let alone cross-browser,
and so I'm after an equivalent third-party solution in flash or java.

The diagram at http://www.theyrule.net contains pretty much every
basic feature I'd like; different node types, menus available on each
node to further queries and view details of said node.

Ideas anyone? Heck, is there even a way to host a control in firefox?

Thanks,
Tom.

Mozilla/Firefox has something called XPCom, but it doesn't support MS
COM components or idispatch:
http://www.mozilla.org/scriptable/

More info about the differences between MSCOM and XPCOM here (courtesy of IBM):

Sorry, don't know of any dynamic diagramming software, but you might
look at a flash/svg solution.

Cheers,
LP
