Question ID: 721395
In Outlook 2002 ... When creating a new Task or Appointment from a
Contact, how do I have the phone number appear within the text of the
Task or appointment?

To be clear, my purpose is to
1. Look at a particular contact
2. Decide that I want to call them later in the day or week ...
3. I want to automatically put it on my calender or task list
4. and see the number on my calender or task list
*** without having to click on anything else

There's got to be a way.

Thanks

Let me know if this helps:

"I use the task option to create individual follow up/to do lists for
each of my contacts. I cannot get the contacts phone number to appear,
only information that for me, is not vwery helpful. Has anyone found a
way to add in the contacts phone number without cutting and pasting?"
=============
Any folder view shows only the data in that folder, even though
Outlook lets you think otherwise by allowing you to add fields from
different types of items in the folder. You can accomplish what you
want, however, with a little custom VBA code. For an example, see
