agency. In 2006, 100 percent of of agencies surveyed had Internet
access in their offices. In addition in 2006, 91 percent provided
access to all their employees at their desk, 4.6 percent have shared
workstations and 3.8 percent have owner/manager access. Of these, 67.2
percent have a Web site and 35.5 percent have online booking
capabilities.
Europe
Supplier Web sites dominate the online travel market in Europe.
Airlines, tour operators, hotels, railways, and car rental companies
represent 74 percent of the European online travel market in 2000,
while online agencies' share is 26 percent.
