i am not sure when these two persons came to the united states-or
where they came from-since emanuel married sarah i do not know sarahs
maiden name-they had a daughter sadie. Sadie married julius or judea
spirer who came through ellis island.

spirer when she was 16 years of age.

than $20, and you can do the research yourself, or do a search engine
on the term "Ellis Island Records" and you may be able to find a
website that will let you search through these records, using your
relatives' names, at no charge.

I searched www.ellisisland.org. I didn't come up with anything on
Strumeyer/Strumayer. There are a lot of potential spelling variations,
and you didn't say they had come through Ellis Island, so I moved on
and found...

Registration is free at the Ellis Island site, and you can check it
out. You didn't give a time-frame, so I can't be sure this is the
right person. If it's not, try searching "J Spirer" -- there are a few
other results that might be him. If this is your relative/ancestor,
perhaps this will help you find the Strumeyer family, especially if
they were also from Austria.
