On what date will the 2006 NBA MVP be announced? Who exactly are the voters, and when is the deadline for their vote? (I.E. during the regular season, into the playoffs or right before the finals?) |

"The winner will be announced in late April or early May. Results will be leaked a day or two before the announcement, which will be made just before the winner's team plays a home playoff game on national TV. Voting will be done by about 125 members of the media -- three from each of the 30 NBA cities and the rest a mix of national writers and broadcasters. And although the NBA has yet to say when the MVP will be announced, reports today (the 26th) indicate that it will be the pride of Canada, Steve Nash, once again. |
