I am getting an error when I try to link MS Access XP to MySQL. I have installed the ODBC drives for MySQL that I just downloaded from the MySQL website, when I create the Datasource Name and give it the parameters it lists the databases in the Database list and when I test the connection it works, but when I click OK it gives me a Microsoft Office Access error box. |

It is a common Windows Reporting error (to report the error to Microsoft). The specifics are Code: 0xc0000005 Flags: 0x0000000 Record: 0x0000000000000000 Not much help, I looked all over the internet and the Code: 0xc0000005 seems to be a generic error. |

You may be best to convert the Access database to MySQL and import it into MySQL as I have done in the past. You can download the tool to convert the database from here: http://www.download3k.com/Access-to-MySQL/Download-Free-acc2sqld.exe.html Then use web forms and PHP code to modify the database from your web browser. Hope this helps. Ed |
