Napoleon, who knew a little about the subject, pointed out that large is not necessarily great. |

From Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night": "Be not afraid of greatness: some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them." |

Most people dubbed 'The Great' existed many, many millenia ago ... Alexander, Herod, Canute, Cyrus, Tamburlaine, Darius, Ramesses, Bartholomew, St Andrew, Alfred, Constantine, Llywelyn, St Basil, St Mary ... I reckon that they broke the mould after The Great Gatsby. It is, of course, a load of rubbish. |

Well, there was also Charlemagne, and Peter the Great, not to mention The Great Train Robbery. I have just been itching to suggest that the great Bryan of Hove to respond to this question, since I harbour inklings that he has special personal insight on the subject. |

The great train robbery. Alexander. Herod. Cyrus. Long Ago. Keep going. You're going somewhere. Thank You. Eaglewoman |

Hello Eaglewoman, I'm please that you are pleased. For your info ... Pinkfreud is in Tulsa, Oklahoma; The American-born Myoarin is in Germany. Dunno where. I'm in (Brighton &) Hove on the South Coast of the UK. And my guess is that you are part-eagle part-woman living in the US of A which is just GREAT! But I hope that you are not a bald-headed eagle although there are some amazing hair pieces these days. All the Best Bryan |

"Someone once asked me what makes the difference between having a good time and having a great time. I thought about it for while and said "you really should get that thing lanced ..." - from some pub song I heard |

The difference between good and great? Asking the question is moving toward great. As for the pub song...well... Thank You Phil Eaglewoman |
