I'm looking for information, preferably scientific but also anecdotal,
about a racing-thoughts symptom of bipolar mania that takes the form
of music, specifically, an earworm, more specifically, a tiny bit of a
song, that repeats over and over like a broken record skipping. What I
don't want is just general info about the symptoms of bipolar mania,
or even general info about racing thoughts. That is readily available.
I'd like to know (a) what the science/medical experts say about it (if
you can find any) and (b) if there are support groups for such a
phenomenon, i.e., how to cope with it if your meds don't take care of
it, or if you're waiting for the meds to kick in, etc.

This could also be a symptom of some other disorder (e.g., ADD,
anxiety). FSM knows I have several from which to choose.

Hi k8, do you have any history of OCD?
