We are a small business located in California called Mister Magnets.
We manufacture magnetic business cards and ship them all throughout
the US. Our website is www.mistermagnets.com. We are looking at
placing small advertisements in magazines to get extra business. The
problem is, we're not sure which magazines to place them in. If we
knew which magazines our competitors advertised in, it would be a good
start. We currently advertise in one magazine called PMQ (Pizza
Magazine Quarterly) and we get good results from this. Could you
suggest other magazines that would be relevant for us to advertise in?
We are not interested in getting business from resellers. ie: graphic
designers, printers etc. We only wish to deal with end users. eg:
pizza shops, dentist, locksmiths, plumbers etc. (more industries on
our website). Could you tell us where our competitors advertise? or
where we should advertise?

My husband, who is an engineer, used to subscribe to the Locksmith
Ledger, a publication aimed at the professional locksmith. In my
perception, locksmiths tend to be interested in unusual gadgets and
gimmicks, and a magnetic business card sounds to me like just the kind
of thing that would appeal to a locksmith. You can check out the
online version of the Locksmith Ledger here:
