I am doing a report on how many credit cards are sold each year and
each quarter in the US. How many are sold? Which companies are selling
the most new cards? If you can find info on about 3-4 companies that
would be great. All I am looking for are the number of new cards sold
2005 or first quarter 2006 for a few of the largest credit card
companys. (Citi,Chase,Discover,Capitol One..... these are a few
examples, it doesn't have to be them.) Thanks a ton.
Spence.

I assume you mean how many credit cards are issued, not sold. I
certainly wouldn't pay for one. An identity thief might buy a stolen
card though.
