At the moment my files are about 100mb. In the future my files could easly be 1gb or more My main concerns are: 1. Security 2. Reliability - a established Online storage bussines 3. Price 4. Reasonable Download and upload speed (I will be accessing the service from mostly within Australia on a broadband connection. What I want: 1. web links to any other online storage products that I have not mentioned that seem "good". 2. web links to any reviews of online storage products. 3. Who are the main players in online storage at the moment, I know google and microsoft have things in the pipeline, but thats not good for me at the moment, so who are the main large online storage providers. This is an interesting thread. Here's why: You stated that this backup is for business files, yet listed are share-type solutions, and the recommended answer is an account level permission based. If it's business, what impact is a better $10 or $20 a month service? If I was your customer, I'd be concerned about offsite unencrypted data! Business backup (in my opinion) is: --Doesn't require manually upload. It occurs through scheduling. The propensity to save issue. --Transfer files encrypted. --Stores files encrypted. --Maintains file versioning. (point in time) For example, you need to restore a file from a week ago because you edited and saved incorrectly. --Restore from your computer of the web (if your computer is dead). Ahsay Software partners offer these type of features: Check out: http://www.PeakBackup.com OR http://www.ahsay.com/en/partner/our-partners.htm Good Luck, Jim |
