Poly-guru, What do you have against the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung? ;) http://www.faz.net/s/homepage.html http://www.ketupa.net/faz1.htm Note that an English F.A.Z. supplement appears weekly in the International Herald tribune. This site about cooperation between the Intl. Herald Tribune and a few local papers mentioned may also be of interest: http://www.iht.com/indexes/partners/index.php |

Really, Myoarin I thought everyone knew that the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung was the paper used for wrapping hot dogs. Bryan |

Silly me! Would you believe me that I was thinking of FAZ as I was writing the answer? |

Polly, I am relieved. Maybe you supressed the FAZ to keep from posting the TAZ. Bryan, that may have been the case before the FAZ was offset printed, but the new ink ... barf! But actually, from your duty in Germany, you know that Germans even back then ate their Frankfurter, Wiener, Bratwurst straight from the grill, holding it with a little tear-off strip from the pasteboard dish, as I practiced at many Schutzenfests near Soest summer of 1961. Is the Murdock "Times" really still a respected paper. I learned about the "agony column" from reading Sherlock Holmes, long before I ever saw a copy of the paper. Cheers, Myo |

Hi Myo I know Frankfurt very well but not from my duty in Germany but because later my company had its German Office there. The Times is still considered 'a respected paper' but I'm afraid that all the UK papers are now rubbish. Not even good enough for wrapping up Frankfurters of Hamburgers. Bryo |
