I live in San Diego, CA and I'd like to know where the nearest
racetracks are that I can race my car on. I've never done this before
so it would help if you list any special requirements the track has
i.e. previous experience, helmets, etc... I'm  interested in racing
alone, i.e. just having a wide open race course that I can play around
on. I am not looking to drag race or drive in a circle. I am looking
for a race track that is a couple miles long with varying aspects,
i.e. banks, curves, straightaways, etc.. like a vehicle testing track,
within 50 miles of zip 92024, costs less than $20 to use.

El Cajon, CA has racetrack near the airport. A lot of weekend racers
there to make contacts with. You can walk thru the pits there.
