Lets see the average starting salary of an MBA according to the Wall
Street Journal is somewhere between 60k for non profit and 90k for
Consulting.

From the same article:
"M.B.A.s in 2005 with six or more years' experience expected an annual
base salary of $97,736 and a signing bonus of $17,807."
Now lets look at the CCNA
"The CCNA certification (Cisco Certified Network Associate) indicates
a foundation in and apprentice knowledge of networking. CCNA certified
professionals can install, configure, and operate LAN, WAN, and dial
access services for small networks (100 nodes or fewer), including but
not limited to use of these protocols: IP, IGRP, Serial, Frame Relay,
IP RIP, VLANs, RIP, Ethernet, Access Lists."

Assuming that you want to go into management, or some other
leadership/strategy position, how much value do you think IN GENERAL a
company will place on the ability to configure a LAN - espeically at a
large company.
In order to truely find the appropriate salary, you would need to
define the job you were looking at. Salary is typically associated to
the job, and not the canidate.
Further, if you have an MBA from Harvard or an MBA from littleschool
arkansas can make a HUGE difference. It would be impossible to tell
what level position you are suitable for simple by stating that you
have nine years in operations.
Did you run a team of 100 people making strategic decisions or did you
spend nine years in a telecom closet wiring PBXs.
I do not believe that your question can be answered as asked- but
maybe someone can come up with more general information to allow you
to draw your own conclusion. |
