I am working for a film director who is just now starting to direct
commercials based in Los Angeles and Spokane, WA. We just finished a
Lockheed Martin "internal" commercial and was wondering how (with a
film featuring A-List actors and this lockheed martin commercial under
his belt) we (the prdouction company) can start bidding on additional
commercials, more specifically government-related/funded commercials
so that way we don't have to make three additional spec commercials
for a "demo reel." We want to be able to advertise our production
company and what we've done so far to a government related client who
needs a commercial made. I guess what I'm asking is, Are there places
on the internet where government clients shop around for production
companies? Or where they post new jobs where different production
companies can submit what budget they can do it for in order to bid on
the job and win it?
If so, I'd like a list of some good places that we can go to either on
the internet or through contact information that you can send us where
we can better get our hands on commercial shoot opportunities in
either the southern california/Los Angeles area and Spokane, WA area.
Is it worth making bids on television commercials for commercial
companies or is it true that you have to be attached to an agency
first for pretty much everything?
I hope that's clear, thanks. |
