I'm looking for information that was in a fairly recent Art News
magazine. Here's all I can remember: it was an advertisement for a
gallery in -- I think -- Palo Alto, California. The artist whose work
was shown was R. Crum, and it was a comic book cover. I saw this, if
I remember correctly, on the inside cover [first page or two] of an
Art News Magazine from the eighteen months, or two years. If you have
a complete collection of Art News, you might be able to find it by
just looking at the first couple of pages from the last couple of
years... I need to know the gallery name, and the exact issue of the
magazine.

Hello keithdills-ga,

Please clarify what is the most important element of your question.
Are you trying to identify/find the work by R. Crumb and finding the
Palo Alto gallery is one option for doing that? Or, are you trying to
identify the gallery and finding their ad is the way to do it? Why is
the exact issue of the magazine important? This is a complex question
considering the price you've posted. Please let us know what is the
main thing you're looking for. Thanks.

I just need to know the exact date of the
Art News magazine that had this advertisement!
If you have all of the ArtNews mags, you'll
find it in the inside cover, or page 3. I guess
nothing other than this will work!

Here is a resume of R. Crumb's (note the spelling) gallery shows. I
don't see anything in Palo Alto. There was a non-solo show recently at
the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco and there is one coming up in
San Francisco.
