Hey there,
I do alot of work which requires me to test programs and applications
on my computer several times a day.
Most of the time, the software i'm installing is buggy and it's
uninstall feature isn't fully developed. Other times i'm using
programs which adds/modifys drivers of my computer, and if there's an
issue with them it often results in an unstable computer.
Also, there's the treat of virus' and i'd say once a month i'm being
forced to run a program for someone which i know has a virus...

Result is, about once a week i'm re-installing windows and installing
it again overnight, because the problems over the week have built up.

Is there any way of having a 'fresh' version of windows on my computer
everytime i start up?

I think i understand the implications of LiveCD's, but i'm unsure
where to go to find out more. More specifically, live CD's require
loading everytime there used, and i don't think you can use the CD
drive whilst there in use.

Any help?

I'd be willing to up the price from $10.00 to $25.00 if i find what
i'm looking for. Maybe more if i'm astounded =P

Hello,

I know of a possible solution. Have you ever heard of DeepFreeze?
http://www.faronics.com/html/deepfreeze.asp
It pretty much freezes your computer in a certain state, so every time
you boot up you're in that state. Any changes you make before a reboot
are reverted.

We use this on hundreds of computers in the computer labs at my
university. As long as the install doesn't require a reboot, this
might work for you. If it does, there is a a utility Norton Ghost,
which allows you to make an image of the computers state, which you
can revert back to whenever you want.

Hope this info helps.

Jesus freakin' Christ that was a fast reply!!! O___O

I got up, opened the window, sat back down, and there was the answer!!

Hmm...well, having a browse through there site it seems that the
program is aimed at multi-worksation enviroments, but they do seemed
to have a personal licence option..

Basically, thanks garbonzo-ga! With the $10 i saved here, i can buy
this program almost half price!
