In the moderately priced range, what digit camera feature in is needed
to take a group (15 persons) photos without having to backup to the
point that personality is lost?  This is a problem my wife often
complains about when she looks through a view finder.

   Are you saying the problem is basically how the picture looks in
the digital viewfinder? Or do you mean the individuals look too small
in the finished picture?
