Have you considered looking for this piece in duet form arranged for
flute? As I recall from trying to play oboe as a university student
for a couple years, the book of Schumann Romances I had could be used
for violin, flute, or oboe. Since these are considered "C" instruments
(as you probably already know), arrangements are often noted as usable
with any of the three, as is verified by the comment on one music
teacher's website: "If you play a treble instrument (i.e. flute,
clarinet, sax, etc.) you can use the violin music, keyboard
leadsheets, or some piano music which has a separate melody/vocal
line."

This suggestion is apropos, since I did find a book of flute duets
that includes Couperin's "Le Petit Rien." It is called Classical Duets
for Flute; the arranger is Jonathan Robbins and the publisher is
Santorella Publishing (the book can be purchased with or without an
accompanying cd). If no one comes up with a duet arrangement
specifically for violin, you might try this option. I would expect
either source below would be able to ship the books to you relatively
quickly.
Here are two sources:
1. Santorella Publications website: The catalogue is in PDF format
(requires Adobe Acrobat), and the book is on Page 3 of the catalogue
(page 4 of the PDF document), bottom right hand corner. If you don't
have Adobe, there is a contact link on the website front page. (Note:
the book is noted for "Flute (All C)," which would seem to indicate
the arrangements will work with other "C" instruments.)

2. In a pinch, eBay has a seller listing ONE copy of the book/CD
package for a fixed price (about same as publisher's price for the
set). You might inquire if they have more than one copy, if you decide
to use this source.
