How the US elements of power, ( military power, information power, diplomatic power, and economic power), could be used to ensure our national interst are achieved given the curttent situation in Iran? |

The Iranian 'president' is doing just what Saddam did - grandstanding Castro has been doing it for years - Chavez is doing the same thing. Partly it is because they don't understand the psychology of 'Western Nations' - they think (correctly) that they can nip at the heels - but they don't understand that they will provoke an irrational response Personally I don't consider Iran more than a minor nuisance, undoubtedly they are stirring problems in the British sector, and the Kurds in the North are giving them problems (courtesy of the USA). If they got remotely near a bomb, there would be an unpleasant accident. - the Israelis are not exactly daft My view is that one needs to educate people, smother them with kindness and learn their culture - while showing them the best of yours. |
