I have a new Treo 650, Cingular. A couple of questions.
1. Keep getting a "Time out reading message" error in versa mail.
ISP is AOL. Cingular and Palm tell me it is an error in the email msg
itself and not the Treo or Cingular or Palm. I guess I believe them.
But it happens every couple of days and I cannot retrieve any other
mail, without deleting all the msgs on my computer.

2. Also, how do I get the program to sync with outlook and not the palm platform.

You can use pop3 with versamail or we setup people to exchange
directly your exchange server has to be configured to allow those
connections but for me I use both pop3 on my personal and exchange for
work but you do have to switch them. Make sure to send msgs that you
go into advnaced and setup the authenication the way your isp want
most of the time a login to outgoing server is fine.

for a pop setup name the account, choose pop for the protocal, enter
your username (test on outlook to be certain, enter your password,
enter your email address, incoming and outgoing ail servers and at the
screen that says basic setup for your mail is completed hit ADVANCED

make sure on the 2nd screen for outgoing server settings you "use
authentication" enter your same username and password here

this shoudl answer #2 and make it where you can get your messages anytime

on #1 I would agree with cingular I've never seen that msg with any of
our clients but they all run there own servers.
