Hi,
I'm looking to pick my new phone number, it should be in southern
Florida with area code of 305 or 786 or 561. Because phone numbers are
transferable these days I don't really care will it be VOIP based,
land line, cell line or whatsoever line number, final destination of
this phone number will be t-mobile cell service provaider. I have
asked all major cellphone service provaiders and the answer was "no,
you can not pick your phone number" :(

For example I would like to have a phone number like this -->> 786-732-5566

many companies let you choose area code or prefix, but naither (at
least i could not find one) lets you actualy pick a phone number you
like.

How taxi companies get phone numbers like 786-888-8888 or 305-666-6666 ?

Hopefully somebady can clear up the situation.

I heard you can buy telephone numbers from some people, like in China,
Sichuan Airlines bought the numbers: 8888 8888, because 8 is a lucky
number in China for $280,000, I also heard they are auctioned off. Oh,
good news well surfing I just found out that eBay sells phone numbers!
The scary conclusion of this is that people can buy your cell phone
call records on the internet and sometimes the employees of your
service provider are the culprits.
