My father was Joseph Crozier, born 7th July 1892 at Silloth, joined
the Royal Horse Artillary in 1914 through to 1918 .. Ended up in
Battle Hospital Reading, Berks at the end of the war wounded... no
idea of his Military number as he said he didn't need one as everyone
knew each other...He talked of being a "Leading Gunner", riding the
lead left horse of the team.... Can find no information on him at
all...... Talked vaguelly of Mons and Ypres .... Help..?????

Hi,

Your best bet may be to contact the Army Records Office. Enquiries may
take up to two months(!) and will cost £25, but it looks like a good
source of info.
