Back in school I worked for an electronics shop. Most of the big
names-- Sony, Panasonic, RCA-- handled their own sales. Zenith was the
only one that used a distributor (Zamoiski) and overseas/multisystem
stuff was sold by a number of companies out of New York (we used
"Abdul").

Thanks.. but i try to search the name you gave me and I can't find anything..

What name, Zamoiski? Jeez, they probably got out of the Zenith TV
distribution biz about a decade ago. They're still distributors and
are on Waterside Street overlooking Baltimore. Gorgeous place, not
that it helps you.

As downward pricing pressures drove increased competitive pricing
strategies, everyone pretty much decided the distributor system had to
end. Just-in-time production practices and the rise of expedited
shipping availability meant warehousing was wasted money that
negatively affected the Gross Margin Return On Investment (which takes
into account profits and turnover rates simultaneously).

Long story short, you gotta go to the source.
