What are the top 10 cheeses by sales value in the UK? I can find commentary to say that cheddar is about 55% and mozarella is 2nd, but nothing very detailed about anything else. |

Dear jackwc, Here are the best figures I could find: UK Household Purchases of Cheese by Type, 2003 (% of total purchases) Cheddar.....................51.2% Soft White Cheese............9.1% Processed Cheese Spread......4.2% Leicester/Red Leicester......3.6% Cottage Cheese...............3.1% Processed Cheese Slices......2.7% Double Gloucester............1.6% Edam.........................1.6% Cheshire.....................1.0% All others..................21.9% "Soft White Cheese" is very obviously a generic term to describe Mozzarella and closely related cheese types. I hope that this is what you needed!
