It looks like Scriptor had a lock on this for a while. Maybe he will come back.
In the meantime, allwhois shows that the site was established in March
2006 and will expire in March 2007, but that may be because the people
are tentative about the success of their endeavor, rather than its
being a scam.
If you read German, you will see that Wietec seems to buy items in
bulk and aims at selling them to resellers. The prices are exclusive
of German VAT, as carefully explained, with the instruction that
end-users should ask for pricing inclusive of VAT, which is in
accordance with the German law that requires retail prices to be
all-inclusive.
As a start-up, of course the company doesn't have any visibility on
the net, but in its favor, it also has posted its name on only one
"biz" reference site, the German "interposten", on which offers for
production over-run items and other special deals ("Rest und
Sonderposten")can be listed.
The principals Wiesler and Wildner don't seem to appear anywhere.
And perhaps most important, they aren't advertising any items
typically attractive to individuals - iPods, etc., etc.
To me, wietec-germany.com does not look like a scam, though they may
be a bit naive, since I found two other German companies with the name
Wietec.
