I am interested to know how air ticket/hotel booking engine works. I am only interested to know about the technical aspect of its funcionality. How online booking application works with airlines database? Does these e-commerce applications have direct access to airline's database? |

They use a 'gateway' - from memory Amadeus was used by travel agents in the UK - a quick check shows that it is boasting 20 years |
