I need the legal boundaries/legal definition of the Eel River in
California. By that, I mean the width. Is it a distance from the
centerline, or is it a certain vegetation or high water mark? Because
it is a wild river, it is wider in the winter than the summer. A
certain parcel of land seems to be along the river in the winter but
is separated by the river in the summer by another parcel. I need the
definition/mark/boundary of the river to determine if the parcel I am
looking at has access to the river.

Howdy joeywolosz-ga,

If you are looking to access the river in order to launch a raft, canoe or
other boat, the width, etc. of the river might not make any difference.

Is this the case? Thanks!

Since email notification of clarifications doesn't seem to be working,
I am just flagging this with a comment. There is lots of information
on the subject of river "ownership" and access rights, as Denco's
request for clarification suggests, also on the Eel River.
