I am looking for the name of an old school arcade game that I played
several years ago. It's a racing game, but with people running.

There were 2 buttons. The first button, the faster you pressed it, the
faster your player ran. The other button was a super jump that would
launch you into the air to clear gaps, bodies of water, or pass other
runners.

It was a 2d game and obstacles would be bodies of water that you had
to swim through or ladders that you had to climb. At the end of each
race, you got to purchase more super jumps or upgrade other
attributes.

The graphics are about the same style as the Metal Slug games. The
game does not scroll, the entire track is on the screen. The runners
each wore a one-piece, one-color jumpsuit looking thing.

My question is, what is this game called? It's been plaguing me since
the first time I played it, which was about 8 or 9 years ago.

Hello Alexchenaki,

I had NO idea there were so many arcade games! I've gone through a
plethora of them, and these are what I found. Are any of these the
game you remember?

I'm sorry, crabcakes, but they are none of them. It wasn't any kind of
track-and-field or marathon style game.
