Dear Rusty, The name you're looking for is "Timur" (a.ka., Timur Lang and not "Timol"). Perhaps you've heard the name from someone, whose language does not have an "r", or that "r" is interchangeable with "l" (like Chinese). Timur is a successor of Genghis Khan, though not a direct successor - he comes 150 years after Khan. Look up for information about him: Timur <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamerlane> Tamerlane (1336 - 1405) - The Last Great Nomad Power <http://www.silkroadfoundation.org/artl/timur.shtml> Timur and Timurids <http://www.geocities.com/Athens/5246/Timur.html> Tamerlane <http://www.carpenoctem.tv/military/tamerlane.html> THE LIFE OF TIMUR <http://www.oxuscom.com/timursam.htm#timur> I hope this answers your question. Please contact me if you need any clarification on this answer before you rate it. Source of knowledge: everybody should know a little about Mongolian history. |
